About us

A team of volunteers who share a passion for finding the best life for dogs who come into our care.

What we do

Guardian Angels are committed to finding forever homes, in the Southeast of Kent, for dogs that have ended up in rescue.  We make sure that all dogs in our care are neutered and microchipped before rehoming.  Home-checks are always carried out on any potential new homes and we offer rescue backup for life to all our dogs.

Founded in 2014 and run by a dedicated team of volunteers, lead by Christine Recton, who share a passion for helping as many of the less fortunate animals that we can, Guardian Angels Dog Rescue is a non-profit organisation run solely by volunteers and relying entirely on donations.

Our dogs are fostered with our kindly foster carers – and in special circumstances in local kennels.

How we are funded

Our rescue is run completely by volunteers and we rely heavily on the generosity of the public to continue with our work.  The adoption fees we collect are quickly swallowed up by vet bills and kennel fees.  All donations are always gratefully received and every penny goes towards helping the dogs in our care. We have a Facebook Auction page, we run raffles, hold quiz nights and fun dog shows, attend boot fairs and other fairs to raise much needed funds. We also run a monthly lottery bonus ball draw and a Sponsor a Dog programme.  Please click on our Facebook link in the header of this page to find out more.

How can you help?

Guardian Angels are always extremely grateful for any help received.  Whether you’d like to foster or adopt a dog, make a monetary donation, donate prizes for our raffles and tombola, or help us with fundraising – we are happy to provide you all the support you need. Maybe you could hold a fundraising event for us or distribute some leaflets to raise awareness.
