About Us

Who we are

Guardian Angels Dog Rescue was founded in 2014 and is run by a dedicated team of volunteers with Christine Recton at the helm.  All of us are animal lovers who share a passion for helping as many of the less fortunate animals that we can.

We are a non-profit organisation run solely by volunteers and relying entirely on donations.

Our dogs are fostered with our kindly foster carers – and in special circumstances in local kennels.  Could you foster a dog?

What we do

Guardian Angels are committed to finding forever homes in the South  East of Kent, for dogs that for whatever reason have ended up in rescue. We make sure that all dogs in our care are neutered and microchipped before rehoming. Home-checks are always carried out on any potential new homes and we offer rescue back up for life to our dogs.

How we are funded

Our rescue is run completely by volunteers and we rely heavily on the generosity of the public to continue with our work.  The adoption fees we collect are quickly swallowed up by vet bills and kennel fees.  All donations are always gratefully received and every penny goes towards helping the dogs in our care.

We have a Facebook Auction page, we run raffles, hold quiz nights and fun dog shows, attend boot fairs and other fairs to raise much needed funds. We also run a monthly lottery bonus ball draw and a Sponsor a Dog programme.  Please click on our Facebook link in the header of this page to find out more.

How can you help?

Guardian Angels are always extremely grateful for any help received.  Whether you’d like to foster or adopt a dog, make a monetary donation, donate prizes for our raffles and tombolas, or help us with fundraising – we are happy to provide you all the support you need.

Maybe you could hold a fundraising event for us or distribute some leaflets to raise awareness.
